What is the lifespan of lucky bamboo?
Also how long does it take for roots to grow?
Lucky bamboo question?
I've had a set of lucky bamboo for four years now, and it's still growing strong.
Reply:Mine is about 6-7 years old. I think it always had roots. I trim the roots back once a year to maintain the size, and also cut the canes back.
Reply:mine took just over a month to have decent sized roots, they only need water, so i have mine in a cylindrical vase with just water, and so far Fred and George (the names i gave them) are doing perfectly, i alwaya make sure there is at least 2" of water the roots now climb 1" from the bottom of the vase.
hope this helps
p.s as for the lifespan, i would imagin a long long time so long as you keep watering it and don't damage the roots once they have grown
