Can I train my lucky bamboo to go different directions?

THE BAMBOO'S NAME IS JEFF

Can I train my lucky bamboo to go different directions?
If its on a pot, you can just turn the pot around where you want it. lol

If its on a garden, you can tie a string from the top and then pull it to the direction you want and tied the other end to the ground.

PS: Changing direction may affect your luck.
Reply:Yes , spiral wind a heavy copper wire around the stem for approxamatly 4inches and gently bend
Reply:No such thing as a lucky bamboo it is a con. However, if you want to keep it perfect and straight, just shunt it around a few inches every day. That should keep you ,and it happy...yes.If you want to control this lucky banmboo.l I sugest you put it down the toilet, then you have total control....don't you.
Reply:Sure why not
Reply:yes by guiding it with a common wire.
Reply:Hi Jackson and Jeff. I have a lucky bamboo also, and I've been reading everything that I find that's been informational and reputable on the subject of lucky bamboo. And, what I've learned about getting them to grow different directions is that the people who grow them to sell make them change direction by growing them upright for awhile and then they somehow turn them nearly all the way on their side so that the new growth grows almost perpendicular to the first part of the stalk. Then, as it grows they rotate it so that it grows around and around in a circle, always seeking to grow upwards toward the light.

I wanted to do it also, but it seemed impractical to keep a plant on its side for more than a year to see much of a result (because mine doesn't seem to grow very fast), so I abandoned the idea. Perhaps yours grows faster and you'd have faster results. Good luck!
