I want to make aglider using bamboo as its skeleton. If can, I want to use polystyrene as its body. The glider must fly as long as it can be. If possible, I want the glider to land smoothly and perfectly. My problem now is I don't know how to launch it and make sure that it can maintain its fly longer. I've planned to produce a glider in astronaut shaped. but I confuse whether it can fly or not.

Go to the top of a building and let go a test model.
For better wind conditions try the inside of a gym first and drop it from a high place or practice throwing it by hand.
