Do those chinese good luck bamboo plants need a lot of light?

The plants I am taking about start off just as green bamboo stalks and then you plant them in rocks and water.

Do those chinese good luck bamboo plants need a lot of light?
Remember folks this isnt really bamboo. its a species of Dracaena. but your right, light and lots of water
Reply:They need indirect light. Direct light will burn them. I have lots of them. I find what works better than water is putting them in soil moist granules. it absorbs %26amp; releases water. You can get this at Walmart, Lowes, or Home Depot.
Reply:They do need light.....the most thing they need is water...water is the life to these plants....I put mine in my fish tank, totaly under water, and the only light it gets is the tank light when its on....so you can put it where ever you want...aslong as you give it water
Reply:They need plenty of light; I'd avoid putting them in direct sunlight, however.
Reply:I have my largest two bamboo plants in rooms that get NO SUNLIGHT...like I said they are my largest....do not put in light....my bathroom gets no sun nor does the hall way....humidity seems to make mine grow the best.....do you have the plant food for bamboo...this may help too
Reply:They will need moderate light. Too much can dry them out and die, too little they will wilt and get weak. Place them in a window with natural light or leave them in a place where artificial light is on for part of the day. Generally they are kind of hard to kill.
