Some friends had a floating bamboo floor installed recently. It moves when you step on it.?

Is this normal? (BTW I think the bamboo floor is over a cement slab.)

If the concrete slab they installed it on wasn't perfectly level, there may be a hollow spot under the bamboo. This will cause the floor to flex at that spot, giving it a "spongy" feel.

I have this problem on one spot on my laminate floor. You learn to ignore it. If it really bothers them, they will have to take up the floor, and level it in that spot.
Reply:It should have a 1/8" cushion layer between the wood and the cement which will help stop the floor from slipping.

I just installed a floor and it was fine with no slips but it did have the thin cushion.
Reply:wow ... may not be floating on water ... but gets you ready for yatching around the world.

... just kidding
Reply:i don't think it is supposed to move when you step on it i would call the people who installed the floor.asap.
