Has anyone installed Lumber Liquidators Supreme Bamboo Floor?

I'm doing a new home and was wondering has anyone used Lumber Liquidators Supreme Bamboo floor or their engineered wood?

Has anyone installed Lumber Liquidators Supreme Bamboo Floor?
Yes I have it. My husband and I installed it ourselves. We've had it for about a year now. It did get scratched BUT NOT from my TWO dogs. It got scratched last Halloween when our neighbor's drink friends decided they would dance on our new bamboo floors in their army boots with ROCKS embedded in the soles!!!

If that hadn't happened, the floor would be in great shape. The consistency is like wood. It will ding when you drop metal things like screwdrivers, but overall it's held up really well. The small dings are hidden by pattern of the bamboo.

The best thing I like about the bamboo is the even temperature. My mom had maple floors and that were soooo cold in the winter time. The bamboo stays cool in summer and a tolerable cool in winter. If I moved, I would get the bamboo again.

P.S. Our local Lumber Liquidator carried a decorative border that's really cool. It has diamond shapes in it. Email me if you want to see a picture.

Duhryan3- I tried to email you but got an error msg. It said You email is not confimed and can not send?? Anyway, we went with the Morning Star. Send me an email address where I can attach pictures and I will send them.
Reply:Yes, I had this bamboo flooring for a year now, and, protect our house from extreme coldness compared to oak flooring that we had before. Super strong than any hard wood flooring! Report It
Reply:I am not specifically sure about L,L Bamboo. But I will tell you when it comes to Bamboo make sure it is in the 6' / 72" long boards. When manufactures make Bamboo flooring they take the bottom 6' of the chute and make premium floor with it.... the bottom of the chute is the oldest and hardest part. Everything above that they cut into 3' / 36" lengths. Most if not all of the wood floors you buy today are coming from eco-managed forests. Ones that are allowed to grow 20-30 yrs...That being said because Bamboo matures at 5 yrs of age instead of 35-50 yrs for Oak, most of the Bamboo you buy (if Premium) will be denser than your standard builder grade Oak floor. You can still buy Old growth Oak floors that will way out preform Bamboo, but are very costly. So all that being said Bamboo is a great floor if bought properly. Do your homework and ask them where they buy their Bamboo from.. Obviously Lumber Liquidators does'nt grow and manufacture themselves, so get more info on who they buy from...Good luck
Reply:Yes I have installed it for a customer, and the next morning we ripped it out BECAUSE, their dogs ran around on it over night and scratched the HELL out of it. They told the home owner, who had purchased the material, that it "was tougher than hard wood floors". I BEG TO DIFFER!!! Store location:Olathe, KS.
