(Biology Project) How does bamboo reproduce?

Im doing a bio project on the 7 kingdoms and i need three examples for each. so for the plantae kingdom i chose bamboo as one example and i need to answer the question of how they reproduce, but i cant find the answer.

(Biology Project) How does bamboo reproduce?
Bamboos are reproduced naturally by two methods and artificially by tissue culture method. 1. Sexual reproduction: Bamboos are flowering plants belonging to grass family. They flower once in their lifetime and the flowering is gregarious. Bamboos in a particular locality flower simultaneously. But the flowering period of a particular bamboo forest is unpredictable. One never knows when the plants will flower. It may take 10, 20 to 60 years for maturity and then flower. Bamboos die after flowering and production of huge quatities of seeds. The seeds are shed from the plant to form a thick mat that covers the ground. The seeds have a very little or no dormancy period that means after production of seeds, they cannot be stored for a long time for raising next plantations. They have to be used immediately in a month or two. The seeds under natural conditions germinate easily on availablity of water. The entire mass of seeds then gets converted into small seedlings once they get enough water for germination. Ususlly the seeds are shed before mansoon and immediately after first showers the seed germinate.

2. Asexual reproduction: Bamboos have underground stem called rhizome. Rhizome is a modified stem of the plant which is generally used by the plant for production of new plants, to undergo the unfavourable season ( summer season where there is no enough water), to store the food in the form of starch. Almost all bamboo species show presence of underground stem i.e. rhizomes. The rhizomes can be seperated from the mother plant and can be planted elswhere for raising new plantation.

3. Tissue culture: This is a recently developed technique where parts of the plants (seeds, stem cuttings etc.) are used to initiate the cultures. The cultures are initiated, multiplied and plantlets are produced. The seeds are germinated on artificial medium under controlled environment. The germinated seedling is then cut into pieces each piece containg at least one node. These pieces are then placed again in artificial medium under controlled conditions to form new shoots. This is called as multiplication stage. The cultures are mutliplied to get sufficient number of shoots. These shoots are then rooted and transferred to soil. These plantlets are then acclimatized under glass house/polyhouse conditions. This step takes about 2-3 months. Once established, these plants are ready for planting in the field. For initial one or two years, care is needed for survival of these plants in the field.
Reply:By underground rhizomes.
