Cats and bamboo?

I have this bamboo plant that is in preety bad shape but I know it is because of my cats they tend to like to eat it somthing about it they like. I also have a bonzi tree right next to it and it is left alone (I think it is because it is sharp) what can I do to get my cats to stop eating it Yes I saud CATS plural I have a 4 month old kitten an =d a 3 year old cat who both like to eat it HELP

Reply:Thanks for the answer we got them catnip plant and a "pet grass" thing from petsmart and my bamboo is fine



My one cat likes it so much that he hugs the catnip and consitering that the grass has shortend about 1 inch in length I think it is being ejoyed Thank you for the answers

Reply:I guess it isn't an extremely poisonous plant or something would have happened by now. I think you can get some bitter apple from a pet store that won't harm the plant and make it distasteful to the cats.



You can also buy special kitty grass from a pet store and the cats might like to munch on that.
Reply:Put it somewhere that they can't get to it, and buy one of those kitty plants that they are allowed to eat. It's natural for cats to need foliage in their diets and indoor cats don't have an opportunity to get outside and do that. Also try buying the kitty food that has grass in it, my cat loves it.
Reply:there is a spray that you can buy at walmart or pet smart call Bitter Apple. It is in the dog area, but works well for most cats too
