ARBOR LONGBOARD, bamboo or koa wood???

im about to buy an arbor bug longboard. but i cant decide which one to get. theres a bamboo one and a koa wood one.. whats the difference???

ARBOR LONGBOARD, bamboo or koa wood???
bamboo boards are more fragile, while koa wood adds strength and gives each deck its one-of-a-kind look. Koa is more unique and Arbor longboards are known for their koa line. If I were you, i would go with the koa, for a stronger and more durable board. Plus the koa will not show dirt as well as the bamboo one, and bamboo boards tend to look gross after a few months of riding. Good luck! Do more search before you buy in order to get the best price, and If I were you,I would check out sector 9's longboards
Reply:Ebay has them, they are good quality too :)

Koa is the largest endemic tree in Hawai'I-the species exists naturally nowhere else in the world. It is the fastest growing of Hawaii's valuable hardwoods.

In pre-western contact times Koa was used to build canoes, spears and paddles. The canoes were carved out of a single tree, which was carefully chosen, spiritually and physically for the purpose. Today Koa is valued for furniture, guitars, boxes, paneling and bowl turning. It is interesting to note that Hawaiians of earlier times did not use it for bowls or platters because of an unpleasant flavor associated with the wood.

Bamboo, is less sturdy, made mostly for fishing polls, and good for making bamboo dummies to beat up on.

Dont spend more than $160 on a board.
