Can I take my indoor lucky bamboo out of its gravel?

The bamboo is in a vase with gravel in it, so the roots are all around the gravel. Is it possible to remove the gravel gently and one by one so i can put the bamboo in a bigger vase/clean its current one? Or will that kill off the plant?

According to the article below, it's okay to cut off some of the roots. In trying to find an answer for you, I haven't come across anything that says there's a bad way to repot lucky bamboo.

Apparently the roots are hardy if you can cut them off.

Good luck! : )
Reply:"indoor lucky plant"?
Reply:Yes

Put the bamboo very carefully in a bigger vase
Reply:Yes, it will live without gravel as well just in water with some fertilizer.

I put mine outside in a pot of dirt to see what would happen. It went through shock then put out some baby shoots from the base.
