Need help with bamboo floor or laminate floor.?

I am looking at putting either laminate wood flooring or bamboo flooring down on my room floor. my dogs have made too many messes on the carpet.

Has anyone put one in? Is it hard? How about for pets?

Need help with bamboo floor or laminate floor.?
Do the bamboo, laminate is ok but if it gets wet to much it can buckle. We had a problem where a table was slide and it caused a DEEP tear in it and my husband had to remove 1/2 to floor just to fix that piece.
Reply:It's not too hard to install, (little hard on the knees) and I love watching my dogs run and try to stop on it.....it is kinda slick....Good Luck
Reply:Laminate is very easy to install, use a jigsaw to cut your ends or corners, a circular saw tends to eat up blades to fast and leaves a mess. A hammer and wooden block areabout all you need for tools. They do not like water or any other liquids though as they are made from pressed wood. Bamboo is a little more costly per foot but is a little more comfortable. Dog houses are also inexpensive and an alternative until fido learns that the floor is not their personal outhouse. Both floors hold up well with pets but is very slippery for them
Reply:Put bamboo down just get a gooooood polyurethane(scratches dude) it ll last alittle longer. but its sure to help with that darn smell the carpet hangs on to!! tell the pups hey.
Reply:I installed Laminate wood flooring in my kitchen. It was very easy to install and has held up great with my dog. I was concerned she might scratch it but she hasn't yet. If you fit it together well you shouldn't have to worry about water getting in between the boards. You should also seal the edges to keep water out and restrict any movement.
