What is the tallest bamboo in the world?

Is it Chinese Bamboo?

What is the tallest bamboo in the world?
Dendrocalamus brandisii (Sweet Dragon Bamboo)

The tallest bamboo in the world, with its thick culms and large, tropical leaves. The tender, sweet, edible shoots are an added attraction (only harvest the shoots when the plant needs thinning out).
Reply:Not sure of the tallest, but I did find this little snippet:

Some species of the 45 genera of bamboo have been found to grow at up to 91 cm (3 ft) per day, or at a rate of 0.00003 km/h (0.00002 mph). Bamboo grows one third faster than the fastest growing tree. Some species can grow up to one meter per day. It is said you can almost watch it grow!

And:

The tallest bamboo in Europe is Phyllostachys heterocycla f. pubescens (Ph. edulis). In southern France culms can reach 25 metres in height with a culm diameter of 15cm. Other very tall species are Ph. bambusoides and Ph. viridis. All of these love heat but they won't grow as high in more northern parts of Europe.
Reply:Phyllostachys edulis ( Moso)

Expected Maximum Height: 80 feet

Diameter: 7 inches

Also called: Phyllostachys heterocycla pubescens

There are some that could reach 70 feet as well. If they are planted in quality areas they will grow to their maximum height.
