Blue spotted bamboo shark?

I just got a blue bamboo shark, it's still in the egg for anothe 3-4 weeks but what will it eat?

Blue spotted bamboo shark?
You'll need to find him/her a supply of live feeder shrimp (movement may trigger a better feeding response) or small pieces of squid, mussels, and fish (from supermarket or pet store - these are more convenient, but not always accepted at first), then try to gradually change him/her over to frozen foods.

And start making feeding/housing plans for when he's around three feet long!
Reply:Live feeder shrimp should work but your gonna have to hand feed it most likely from everything ive heard. Also make sure that your tank is set up for him/her. If you have live rock in there push it to the bottom of the sand or this thing will find a way to burrow under it. I had one that was 7 inches long and the stupid thing had me rearranging rocks every day. If you can avoid rocks all together it would be best. On a side note give it a cave that blocks light and as much of the moving world around it. Search for more information on this but ive also read that its best to keep the light off for most of the day after theyve hatched. On the line of food squid would probly work best. Both my sharks would fight the devil himself for their squid but wont pay much attention to anything else. Look for the solid stuff thats flat packed not the minced white version. And never ever ever feed them silversides itll bind with the iodine in their bodies which can lead to goiter. Hope this helps.
Reply:You do not need to feed it until it is out of the egg, it will live on the fluid inside the egg until it hatches so for now the best you can do is keep it in a clean tank enviornment with lots of plants (this is what they like) also when it does hatch brine shrimp or bloodworms will be okay to feed him. Although they prefer live foods, you can feed them frozen and they will be very happy with that! If you have anymore questions on Blue Spotted Bamboo Sharks feel free to contact me! Hope this helps!
