Color in bamboo tattoos?

When they do the traditional bamboo tattoos in China (or anywhere), can they do them in color or do they have to be in black and white?

Color in bamboo tattoos?
Yes I do believe so,some of them make the ink from alot of natural elements and are able to do amazing work with them. I watched someone use the banboo tattooing to do a mural of a tiger all in color covering their entire back. It's an amazing art
Reply:The correct terminology is "black and grey" not black and white.
Reply:It's usually the method used in the pacific islandsand in Asia, Original tribal tattoos were done with a pointed bamboo stick or a row of points on a bamboo stick. See video:

This shows the needle stick and the tapping stick used to tap the neddles against the skin to make the tatto ink enter the skin.

Here is lots of info on tribal tattooing in the original sene.

The bamboo needles are used basically in the same way as we use steel needles and can be used and also made into various shapes to produce certain tattoo designs and also to fill in colour.

This sort of tattoing hurts a lot more than steel tatto nedls apparently. I want to try it but not in Aisa, only in the Pacific Islands, there is even people in Hawaii that do it properly.
Reply:Yes. traditional bamboo or hand poked tattooing can be done in a variety of colors, just make sure you get someone who knows what they are doing.
Reply:I suppose they can. The Japanese body suits are done in bamboo and they are also colored too.
