What helps Bamboo grow?

Well right now I have a"lucky" bamboo and at first it did really well! I had it for about a year and its still little I like it like that though.....and in the last threee months some of the leaves started to die! So I heard that if you put it in a fish-bowl with a Betta fish it would help it grow.

Now it's been in the bowl with the fish for about a month and I don't know of anything else to do !

What helps Bamboo grow?
Take it out of the water and plant it in potting soil. Plant it in a self draining pot and place it in the house where it will get plenty of bright indirect light. Water it when the soil starts to become dry and that's all there is to it. Mine did the same thing and planting them in soil is the best thing that I could have done, they look better than ever. After a couple months, you will notice that they will start to get darker. Mine by now are a deep shade of emerald green. They will appreciate it! Good Luck!!!
Reply:I had mine for about 4 years. Small bamboo trees you buy at the store only lives for about 3-4 years. There are vitamins you can give them but I think it is useless a kind off a waist of 3 dollars. O about the clear fish bowl, bamboo trees love clear bowls so their roots can get some light. I even bought glassed marbles so it would look nice. Anyhow, I bought myself another one and I am happy with it. :)
Reply:Is it getting sunlight? Bamboo is usually quite a prolific grower.
Reply:nothing. just leave some water in it and it should live for a long while. i don't know why your bamboo died, you should consider moving in somwhere else in your house maybe
