Fine bamboo can be used for chairs.

Reply:You can make one mean bow very easily.
Take a piece of bamboo that is about 1 1/4 to 2 inches thick and split it length ways. It should be 3 to 6 feet long depending on your height.
Place it cut side up and heat the underside while bending it to a curved shape.
Drill a hole each end after it has cooled and shape the hole to a V .
Use several pieces of fishing line to make the string.
It can be made to be very powerful so use wisely please.
