How can i make a strong bamboo bow and arrow?any tips?
The Japanese bow, called a "Yumi", is often made of all bamboo...but it is laminated, like plywood. Do a web-search on "Bamboo bows" and you should find the needed information.

Bamboo makes very effective arrows, and it is one of the preferred materials for "primitive" arrows. When making an arrow from bamboo, the larger diameter end is where the point goes -- it's the "bottom" of the stalk, and the smaller-diameter end is where the nock (string end) goes -- it's the "top" of the stalk.
Reply:Bamboo isn't usually bow making material.

You will need to strip in down and laminate layers of it together .

Look up bamboo flyrods. They used to be the best. There are instructions online.
Reply:type "traditional archery self bow" into google but bamboo isnt what you would make the WHOLE bow out of
