Do Bamboo Sharks Have Personality?

Scrapped my ideas of a reef tank today and bought home a baby brown banded bamboo shark instead (long story, it needed rescuing, and was being sold cheap).

Anyone else have one? Do they have personality and intelligence? Mine was sniffing around the fine sand substrate and eating all my baby bivalves -- he/she is so cute!

Do Bamboo Sharks Have Personality?
I believe that all fish have personality. And once you name your little guy, he may even start responding to his name in time.

Sharks are quite intelligent. Just be careful that you're not keeping him in a tank too small for his size, and also be careful as to what other tank-mates you get for him.

Congrats on your new friend! May you have many happy years together.
Reply:most fish do!

i have two irridecent sharks / catfish (i'm assuming your babmoo "sharks" are also catfish?), and they have very different personalities, and after only about a week of having them, i can already tell them apart!

like most animals, fish can be curious, shy, aggressive, and need different levels of companionship. when my friend told me that fish all have different personalities, i never really believed her, but after keeping my two sharks, there is no doubt that they all have their own little quirks, haha
Reply:theya are not cat fish and they are cool if they are the only meat eater in the tank cause they are blind drop in food and they swin around like a bat during the day no food they find a crack and lay in it they are closly related to a nurse shark
