i just bought this lukcy bnamboo at the store, but i dont know because it says put it in an inch of water. i dont know if it needs soil too or what. so does the bamboo need soil ro just the water?
Lucky bamboo care?
your tap water will cause the tips to go brown.. floride and chlorine, ya know?.... so keep your plant in water that is rainwater or filtered......add one drop of a liquid fertilizer each time you change the water....( someone puts out a bottle of liquid fert. for african violets... it's good stuff to use)

Dracaena sanderiana
Lucky Bamboo
AGAVACEAE
It grows in 1/2 inch to two inches of water. Change the water every couple of weeks. It is not necessary to fertilize the plant but a diluted water-soluble fertilizer can be used. This plant prefers bright light, but not direct sunlight. Does well in low and fluorescent light.
