Growing Bamboo...?

So Ive had a bamboo plant in a bottle of water for about three years. its grown a little, but still very healthy. is it possible to introduce the plant into soil or is the stress too great?

Growing Bamboo...?
You should be able to put it in soil , in fact it should be in soil. If it's the invasive type then keep it in a pot or if you put outside in the garden dig a hole and line it with plastic. Otherwise you may curse the day you planted it .
Reply:I have left my bamboo in containers containing a combination of small and pebble sized rocks and I keep the level of the water right above the rocks and they love it. they have grown like crazy. it will adapt to the size container it is in because its roots spread if the roots have no room to spread than the plant will not grow.
Reply:Just a warning, depending where you live some Bamboos can become very invasive.

My neighboor planted a few, and now a few years later, it keeps trying to come into my yard and take over! Its already taken over the back corner of her yard.
Reply:yes. just keep the soil very mosit, and then as time goes on slowly water it less and less until you are watering once every 3 days
Reply:I have done it, and just kept the soil very moist for the first month :) It worked out great.

Good luck!!!
Reply:dont forget that bamboo in an invading plant!
Reply:Might want to get a clear glass vase. I noticed mine started growing alot when I put it in one.
