Help! I have had my lucky bamboo for nearly four years. It has grown beautifully since I have had it. Just recently we have been having some issues.
Recently I brought it inside from the sun porch (I live in upstate NY so it is getting cold) I placed it near a window and noticed the leaves turning yellow. So I emptied out the water(it sits in a vase with rocks) and it SMELLED! I cleaned out the vase and the rocks and the roots(not with soap)and placed it all back in the container. Since, the leaves and been continuously turning yellow....I only use bottled water and it is indirect sunlight/direct sunlight which it has always been.
I am really scared I am going to lose it!
Please help!
Could the root be rotting? If so--how do I fix this?
Lucky bamboo leaves turning yellow---water smelled when I changed it last?
The window might be giving it too much light. I keep mine a way from direct sun light. I don't know what the smell could have been. There is some vitamins that you can buy for them. I saw them on ebay. Look it up and see if that migh help
Reply:Mine did the same thing, and I think its from the sun. I leave mine in the shade, away from the windows, and its back to green again. Odd....
