Lucky Bamboo Roots...?

I purchased a bamboo plant in a relativley small, glass vase filled with gravel. The plant is growing and the roots are sprouting all throughout the gravel (it looks kinda creepy *lol*) I know the obvious answer would be to switch the plant to a larger area to allow it room to grow, but do I switch the container and fill with even more gravel...just water?

Lucky Bamboo Roots...?
You could just fill it with water... The gravel is there to help keep the bamboo shoots in position.
Reply:Water should do it. Unless you want it to look pretier.
Reply:The gravel is not necessary. It is used mostly for appearances sake.

Go with whatever you think looks best.
Reply:hah people don't know this..it is not even a bamboo it is a fake bamboo not the real thing. the real bamboo doesn't curl like that and it's stem is not that thick like that. It is big but it has more of a woody brown stem not a green like that..Also there are other types of bamboo and yes some of the stem are green but still have the woody look..i have them as well and yes you can put them in a bigger jar..I gave one to a friend and what he did is put it in the biggest pot and added dirt and the leaves are a very very dark green and not the pail green
