Can bamboo grow in Utah's climate?

Our neighbors home is very close to our bedroom windows and I want a little more privacy than what we have now. Bamboo is big bushy and seems easy to care for, but I am not sure that there is a variety that will survive Utah's winters.

Can bamboo grow in Utah's climate?
we have bamboo growing wild here in New York....and we have some pretty BAD winters ourselves....

I'm sure you can find bamboo that will grow in Utah....

beware......bamboo is VERY hard to contain once it gets established...you may end up with more than you bargained for.....

research containment for it......before you plant...( cement containment walls underground, etc.....etc....
Reply:Bamboo should be fine. It's invasive though...be careful!
Reply:Anything is possible.
Reply:Noe! Not indigineous to the region. U might try to grow indoor like the lucky bamboo are wonderful to grow and very little maintenance!
