Question regarding Wacom Bamboo?
You can't hand write directly into Word, but what you can use is a pop up window called the Tablet PC Input Panel and it looks like this:

You basically hand write into this panel using your Bamboo tablet and then it will insert the writing as formatted text into a Word document.

If you want to hand write directly onto a document, then you can use Windows Journal, which comes included with Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, Ultimate and also XP Tablet PC Edition.

If you want to set up handwriting recognition on a different version of XP then go here:

Finally, if you just need it for writing then get the standard Bamboo. The only difference between the two is that the Bamboo Fun comes with a mouse and some additional software (Photoshop Elements 5.0, Nik Color Efex Pro 2.0 and Corel Painter Essentials 3.0). If you're only using it for writing then you won't really need these anyway.

Contrary to what some reviews say, both the Bamboo and Bamboo Fun have an eraser.

Hope that helps.
