Is bamboo a suitable material for rebar in a loadbearing concrete wall? It is being used but to what degree?

bamboo construction for commercial purposes.

is it possible to replace steel for rebar?

The loadbearing capacity for bamboo-reinforced concrete is probably a lot better than for unreinforced concrete, but not as strong as steel-reinforced concrete.

The ridges on the bamboo would grip the concrete well, like the rebar ridges. The tensile properties of the bamboo are also better than the concrete alone. I would be worried about long-term stability; what if the bamboo rotted away?
Reply:BAMBOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:bamboo is not suitable because the tinsle strength is so low, that is why steel is used. the more pressure, the larger diameter steel is used.
